Agriculture remains the backbone of Cameroon’s economy, employing 70 percent of its workforce while providing 42 percent of its GDP and 30 percent of its export revenue. Blessed with fertile land and regularly abundant rainfall in most regions, Cameroon produces a variety of agricultural commodities both for export and for domestic consumption.
However, Cameroon has huge untapped agricultural potential; 70% of the active population is employed in agriculture while only 26% of arable land is being cultivated. Farmers want to grow more food but are discouraged to do so because they are unable to sell or gain fair prices for their products when productions are high due to poor and volatile food market conditions. Farmers need access to better markets to enable them to take the risk to grow more food.
In this light, AGRO-HUB, an agricultural producing and marketing agency, is working to enhance food marketing and distribution for small-scale farmers and food processors.

At AGRO-HUB, product marketing and distribution is one of the core activities. From a pool of survey, our research team discovered that rural farmers face a huge problem when it comes to marketing and distribution of their produce. However, we are here to solve this problem.
Product marketing involves the overall process of conveying a good or service to customers. AGRO-HUB helps producers define the scope of the product line, identify potential markets for a product, determine optimal pricing for the market, encourage potential customers to purchase the product and find the best distribution methods for delivering the product to customers.

We offer sourcing and supply services to bulk buyers. This procurement practice aims at finding, evaluating and engaging suppliers for easy acquisition of goods and services. We help to mitigate the time-consuming process and pain bulk buyers and importers face when it comes to buying agricultural produce from Cameroon.
